How to vote for the ChainX Council

We’ve created a step by step tutorial on how to vote for the council members and how to submit your own candidacy. If you have any questions after reading this article, you can always ask a councilor and they’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Introduction to the ChainX Council

The council is an on-chain entity formed by 11 on-chain accounts. They are 10 community users and 1 seat for the development team.

The council is tasked with governing the project, notably: proposing sensible referenda, canceling dangerous or malicious referenda, and electing the technical committee. They make sure ChainX moves in the right direction and grows naturally.

Votes for candidates are dynamic. This means that every council term votes are counted again. A vote can be updated at any time and the change will be effective in the next term.

Note: The amount of PCX added to the vote acts as a ‘weight’. PCX does not leave the wallet.
